I figure I need to slow down the 'femininity, feminism' talk and bring in something more grassroots.
Women's lib has been highly associated with
craftwork historically - as in women literally got together to make quilts,
construct zines, collage, and to make posters and buttons for rallies.
The spaces created for women gave them a great deal of collective power within
their constructed communities where they shared stories, knowledge, experience,
and came together to stand for their own rights (be their approach feminist in nature or not).
Sisters act as some of the strongest teams in fashion: The Mulleavy sisters of Rodarte, who
are extraordinarily talented; Elle and Dakota Fanning; Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen of Elizabeth and James, The Row, etc; My mother and Aunt. There are different avenues for women to
collect today in creation of something big.

It's important for women to join forces.
